OECD/WTO joint action on the Doha Development Agenda

OECD Observer

WTO Director-General Supachai Panitchpakdi and OECD Secretary-General Donald Johnston met at OECD headquarters on 29 November to sign a progress report on trade-related technical assistance and capacity building in the follow up to Doha.

The report draws on information provided by a joint WTO/OECD database and provides a snapshot of capacity building efforts in this area between 2001-2002.

The report will be updated in time for the WTO Ministerial meeting in 2003. The document can be updated regularly and used to monitor implementation of the Doha Development Agenda. Information in the database is supplied by countries, intergovernmental organisation, the OECD Development Aid Committee, and regional banks.
